Bellandur Jothege (BJ) is a young, apolitical, citizen change-makers' social welfare organisation working on civic betterment programs for liveability, inclusion and the environment.

Formed for a skywalk after a teenager tragically died in the arms of the Bellandur community while crossing the pedestrian-unfriendly Outer Ring Road (ORR), BJ has notched up some great outcomes since its inception in December 2017:

• Pedestrian infrastructure (ORR skywalks)

• Iblur Junction/Sarjapura Road pedestrian refuge islands

• Traffic Warden volunteering and campaigning

• BWSSB, BESCOM, city police connect

• Bengaluru Traffic Police-BJ Twitter and Citizens Advisory Committee connect

• Collaborative partnership with city, state and Parliament elected representatives, member RWAs, and landowner associations

• Whatsapp-based direct2citzens civic grievance resolution process
